Chip Cannon had a huge day at the plate in the Fisher Cats 9-6 win over Binghamton. He went three for six with two doubles, a homerun, two RBIs and two runs. Ryan Klosterman went two for four with two doubles, three runs and one RBI while Rob Cosby went three for five with a homerun and two RBIs.
Russ Savickas was mediocre in this start but he improved to 2-2 with all of the offense. He gave up four runs (two earned) on five hits and five walks with two strikeouts in five innings.
Russ Savickas was hit hard in the Fisher Cats 10-3 loss to Reading. He gave up six runs on nine hits and two walks with two strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings.
Ryan Patterson went three for four with three doubles and an RBI. Robinson Diaz went one for four with a solo homerun and two runs scored.
Russ Savickas had a nice start and he improved to 1-1 in the Fisher Cats 3-2 win over Reading. He gave up two runs on eight hits and four walks with two strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.
David Smith was the hitting star. He went three for four with three doubles and a run. Robinson Diaz hit a solo homerun in the win.
Dunedin got some pretty nice pitching in their doubleheader against Fort Myers. In the first game, Russ Savickas gave up three hits in seven shutout innings as he won his first game of the season. Cory Patton was the hitting star in the 4-0 win. He went two for two with two doubles, two runs and an RBI.
The second game was a 3-0 win with Aaron Tressler throwing four shutout innings. Jacob Butler finished with two hits and one of them was his fourth homerun of the season.
Russ Savickas had a tough start and he took the loss in Dunedin’s 7-5 loss to Lakeland. He gave up five runs on six hits and two walks with six strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings. More importantly, he blew a 4-2 lead that the offense had provided him. The loss dropped him to 0-2 on the season.
Anthony Hatch drove in two runs in the loss. Anthony Garibaldi finished two for five with a double and a run.
Dunedin racked up just a single run on five hits in a loss to Fort Myers. The lone run came on an RBI single by Cory Patton that scored Jacob Butler.
Russ Savickas had a decent start go to waste. He gave up just three runs on seven hits and one walk with three strikeouts in seven innings of work.
Clearwater took a 3-0 lead into the seventh inning when the Blue Jays bats finally woke up. Three runs in the seventh tied it and then two more in the ninth won it as Dunedin won their second straight game.
Anthony Hatch and Eric Nielsen led the way at the plate. Hatch went two for four with a triple, two RBIs and two runs. Nielsen went two for five with a double and two RBIs.
Russ Savicaks got the start and he gave up the three runs in 5 1/3 innings. The pen picked him up though and three relievers combined for 3 2/3 shutout innings of one hit ball.
