Robert Ray Pitches Dunedin To Win Over Brevard County

Robert Ray improved to 2-1 on the season with a nice start in Dunedin’s 3-1 rain shortened win over Brevard County.  Ray gave up just one run on four hits and two walks with five strikeouts and he threw all five innings.

Cory Patton tripled and he drove in two runs in the win.  Kyle Phillips went one for one with two walks and a run.

Dunedin Edges Lakeland 6-4

Robert Ray picked up his first win of the season with 4 1/3 innings of solid relief.  He gave up two runs on six hits with three strikeouts.  Ricardo Romero had a decent start but he just missed an official game.  He gave up two runs on four hits and a walk with two strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings.

Kyle Phillips was the hitting star in the win.  He went two for four with a double, a homerun and two runs scored.  Josh Kreuzer went two for three with a double, a walk a run and an RBI.

Dunedin Drops Seventh Straight Game

Dunedin had more problems as they dropped their seventh straight game.   They’re an unimpressive 3-10 on the season so far and they have the very worst record in the Florida State League.  This time it was a blowout loss to Lakeland as four different pitchers were bombed.  Robert Ray took the loss in his start and he gave up three runs in one inning of work.

At the plate, Anthony Hatch tripled and drove in two runs.  Brian Jeroloman went two for three with a walk and an RBI.

Jacob Butler Hits Well in Dunedin Loss

Dunedin lost 7-6 today but the hitters did their share of damage.  Jacob Butler led the way and he went two for four with a walk, a homerun, two RBIs and two runs.  Cory Patton had two hits and two RBIs.

Robert Ray was hit hard in the loss.  He gave up four runs on six hits and a walk with two strikeouts in five innings.

Cory Patton Homers in First Dunedin Win

The Dunedin Blue Jays won their first game of the season in a 9-7 win over Clearwater.  Cory Patton led the way and he was the only Blue Jay to homer.  He went two for four with the homerun, two RBIs and two runs.

Robert Ray had a decent start even if lasted just three innings.  He struck out six and he gave up three runs (one earned) on six hits.
