David Corrente’s Homer Pushes Dunedin to Win Over Lakeland

Dunedin beat Lakeland 5-3 and the big hit of the game was a seventh inning, two run homer by David Corrente.  Eric Nielsen also hit a homerun and he drew two walks.

A.J. Wideman had a nice start although he didn’t get a decision.  He gave up two runs (one earned) on eight hits and one walk with three strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.  Orlando Trias picked up the win and he improved to 5-5 on the season.

Luke Hetherington Scores Three Runs In Dunedin Win

Dunedin roughed up Daytona 9-5 and Luke Hetherington was one of the hitting stars.  He went two for three with a homerun, two walks and three runs.  Kyle Phillips went two for five with a homerun and three RBIs.

Orlando Trias picked up the win and he improved to 4-4 on the season.  He gave up three runs on five hits and five walks with four strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.

Three Errors Costs Dunedin In Loss to Clearwater

Dunedin lost 7-4 to Clearwater and while there were three unearned runs, the three errors definitely cost the Jays.  One those errors was made by Jacob Butler but he more the made up for it at the plate.  He went three for four with two doubles, a homerun, two RBIs and three runs.

Orlando Trias took the loss and he dropped to 3-4 on the season. He gave up four runs (two earned) on eight hits with four strikeouts in six innings of work.

Anthony Garibaldi Drives In Five In Dunedin Blow Out Win

Anthony Garibaldi had a big day at the plate in Dunedin’s 12=0 win over St. Lucie.  He went two for four with a homerun and five RBIs.  Carlo Cota went three for three with two doubles, three RBIs and three runs while Cory Patton singled twice and scored two runs.

Lost in all of the offense was some solid pitching.  Orlando Trias picked up the win and he gave up three hits with four strikeouts in five innings of work.

Orlando Trias Pitches Dunedin To Win Over Tampa

Orlando Trias picked up his first win of the season in a solid seven inning outing for Dunedin.  He gave up one run on five hits and a walk with three strikeouts.

Jacob Butler went yard for the third time this season with a solo homer in the third inning.  Eric Nielsen went two for four with a double, a run and an RBI in the 3-1 win.

Anthony Garibaldi Homers, Drives in Two in Dunedin Loss

Dunedin lost 6-3 and they scored all three of their runs via the long ball. Anthony Garibaldi actually made the game close with a two run shot to make it 4-3 but that was close as Dunedin would get.  Jacob Butler also went yard with a solo shot.

Orlando Trias dropped to 0-3 on the season with the loss.  He gave up four runs on five hits and a walk with two strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.

Dunedin Loses Series Finale Against Sarasota

Orlando Trias dropped to 0-2 on the season with a lackluster start against Sarasota.  He gave up three runs on seven hits and three walks with three strikeouts in six innings of work.

Anthony Hatch drove in the lone run on a sac. fly.  Adam Calderone finished the game with three hits.

Orlando Trias Hit Hard in Loss to Clearwater

Orlando Trias had a tough first inning in which he gave up three and then a tough final frame in which he gave up two runs.  On top of that, he struck out just one in 5 1/3 innings of work.  Brandon Magee was pounded as well. He gave up four runs on five hits and he got just one batter out.

Eric Nielsen had a solid game at the plate.  He went two for four with a double and a run.  Josh Kruezer doubled, scored and drove a run.
