Dunedin was held to a single run in their 2-1 loss to Clearwater as the second half of the season kicked off. Josh Kreuzer was the biggest contributor with the stick. He went two for three with a double and an RBI.
Kristian Bell improved to 2-6 on the season with a mediocre start. He gave up two runs on seven hits with three strikeouts in five innings.
Jacob Butler drove home Carlo Cota with a sac. fly in the bottom of the eighth to give Dunedin the go ahead run in their 3-2 win over Jupiter. Cota finished the game with a double, a walk and he scored two of Dunedin’s three runs.
Sean Stidfole picked up the win with a shutout eighth inning. He followed up a nice start by Kristian Bell, who gave up two runs in his seven innings.
Daryl Harang gave up an unearned run in the bottom of the eleventh as Dunedin lost to Daytona 7-6. The pen pitched pretty well in this one because Daytona had tagged Kristian Bell for five six runs by the fifth inning.
Cory Patton hit a two run homer in the loss. Carlo Cota went two for five with two doubles, two RBIs and a run.
Dunedin had a power shortage as their offense picked up just four hits in a 3-1 loss to Clearwater. The lone run came on a solo homerun by Anthony Hatch.
Kristian Bell took the loss and he dropped to 2-4 on the season. He gave up three runs on seven hits and three walks with four strikeouts in five innings.
Dunedin took a 3-1 lead into the ninth inning but the pen gave up two runs in the ninth and then one more in the tenth to lose it 4-3. Connor Falkenbach blew the lead by giving up the two runs while Yesson Berroa gave up the losing run in the tenth. A nice start by Kristian Bell went to waste. He gave up one run on six hits with two strikeouts in six innings of work.
Carlo Cota went two for five with a double and an RBI in the loss. Al Quintana went two for four with a run and an RBI.
