The first game of a double header between Dunedin and Sarasota was a blow out but in the second game, we got some solid pitching to at least walk away with one win. Game one saw the Jays get shutout on seven hits and Brandon Magee was shelled for six runs and he didn’t even last through the second inning in the 8-0 loss.
Game two went a bit better as the Jays won 2-1. Aaron Tressler threw four shutout innings and didn’t get a decision while Ted Serro gave up a run in 1 2/3 innings but he picked up the win. Connor Falkenbach got the final four batters out and he earned his third save of the season.
Josh Kreuzer was the hitting star. He doubled in a run and he also scored a run.
Orlando Trias had a tough first inning in which he gave up three and then a tough final frame in which he gave up two runs. On top of that, he struck out just one in 5 1/3 innings of work. Brandon Magee was pounded as well. He gave up four runs on five hits and he got just one batter out.
