Rob Cosby had a big day at the plate in the Fisher Cats 11-3 win over Akron. He went two for five with a double and he drove in five runs. Dustin Majewski had a nice game and he went three for four with a double, two RBIs and two runs.
Kyle Yates picked up the win and he improved to 3-2 on the season. He gave up two runs on six hits and one walk with one strikeout in five innings.
Chip Cannon had a big day at the plate in the Fisher Cats 8-5 win over New Britain. He went two for four with a double, a homerun, three RBIs and three runs. Dustin Majewski went two for three with a double, two RBIs and a run.
Russ Savickas picked up the win with a mediocre start. He gave up four runs on eight hits and two walks in 6 2/3 innings.
Dustin Majewski scampered home on a Reading error in the bottom of the ninth to win the game. Sergio Santos was the hitting star in the 7-6 win. He went two for four with a homerun and three RBIs. The homerun was his eleventh of the season.
Jesse Carlson picked up the win with 2 1/3 innings of shutout relief. He gave up one run on two hits.
The Fisher Cats lost to Binghamton 8-4 with Yusaku Iriki geting hit hard. He gave up four runs on seven hits and three walks with a strikeout in 4 1/3 innings. It was his first start after getting promoted from Dunedin.
John Schneider doubled, drove in two runs and scored once. Dustin Majewski went two for four with a solo homerun in the loss.
The Fisher Cats lost 6-2 and the offense was held to just four hits. Dustin Majewski had a hand in both Fisher Cats runs with hits double. He both drove in a run and later scored in the inning.
Ricardo Romero took the loss and he dropped to 0-1. He gave up three runs on seven hits and two walks with six strikeouts in five innings.
Michael MacDonald improved his record to a perfect 3-0 with a top notch start in the Fisher Cats win over Portland. He gave up just a single run on four hits with two strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings of work.
Sergio Santos had a big game at the plate. He went three for four with a three run homer in the 6-1 win. Dustin Majewski also went yard and he finished with two runs.
Talk about a roller coaster. The Fisher Cats came back from runs down to tie the game up. Then in extra frames, they scored a run in the eleventh to tie the game back up to keep it going. Unfortunately, there’s no happy ending because Connecticut scored in the thirteenth and the Fisher Cats couldn’t answer. The end result was an 8-7 loss, their first of the season.
Wayne Lydon went two for four with a two run homerun in the loss. Dustin Majewski went three for six with two doubles, an RBI and a run.
