Akron took it to the Fisher Cats in a 10-4 game and David Purcey was simply dismantled in this game. He was tagged with all ten runs on twelve hits and three walks in just 3 2/3 innings.
David Smith was the hitting star. He doubled twice and he scored two of the four runs.
David Purcey dropped to 3-4 on the season after a tough start in the Fisher Cats’ 11-3 loss to the Thunder. He gave up four runs on nine hits and a walk with two strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings.
Chip Cannon was the hitting star in the loss. He went two for four with a double and a solo homerun.
The Fisher Cats were beat pretty bad 6-2 and David Purcey was knocked around for four of those runs. He gave up eight hits and he struck out seven in six innings of work.
Rob Cosby was the only Fisher Cat with two hits. He went two for three with a triple and an RBI.
David Purcey dropped to 3-2 on the season with a tough start in the Fisher Cats 7-5 loss to Binghamton. He gave up five runs on six hits and three walks with three strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings.
Manuel Mayorson had a nice day at the plate in the loss. He went three for five with two doubles, two RBIS and two runs. Aaron Mathews went four for five with a run.
David Purcey had a decent start and he left with the lead, but three late runs given up by the pen cost the Fisher Cats a win. Jesse Carlson took the loss and he dropped to 2-1 on the season.
Sergio Santos had a nice day at the plate. He went two for four with a double, a homerun, three RBIs and two runs. Ryan Patterson also had a nice game and he finished with two hits including a two run homer.
David Purcey lost his first start of the season and dropped to 3-1 in the Fisher Cats 10-5 loss. He gave up six runs on six hits and two walks with four strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
David Smith provided most of the offense in the loss with a three run homer. Aaron Mathews went one for four with two RBIs and a run.
The Fisher Cats beat up on Binghamton in a 6-2 win. Sergio Santos provided quite a bit of the offense with a big day at the plate. He went three for four with a double, a two homeruns and three RBIs.
David Purcey picked up the win with a solid start. He gave up just one run on one hits with six strikeouts in seven innings of work.
The Fisher Cats got some great pitching in their doubleheader against the Defenders it’s just unfortunate that the hitting wasn’t there as well. Still, they did win one, they just need a shutout to get it.
David Purcey was phenomonal in his seven inning complete game shutout in the first game. Even more impressive, he shutout eleven and he’s struck out eighteen versus two walks in 13 1/3 total innings and he’s given up just one earned run. The lone run of the game came on a sac. fly by Robinson Diaz that scored Wayne Lydon.
In the second game, the pitching gave up just two runs but the hitters scored just one. The lone run was an RBI double by John Schneider and a solid start by Jesse Litsch went to waste. He gave up just two unearned runs on three hits and three walks with three strikeouts in five innings.
David Purcy picked up the win a nice start in the River Cats 5-1 win over Connecticut. He gave up just a single run on five hits and a walk with seven strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings.
Brad Hassey and Aaron Mathews led the Fisher Cats with the bat. Hassey went two for three with a run and two RBIs while Mathews went three for four with a double, an RBI and a run.
