The Lugnuts and Fort Wayne each took a game in their doubleheader. In the first game, Reidier Gonzalez was just good enough a 4-3 win. He improved to 3-0 and he gave up three runs on eight hits and one walk with four strikeouts in six innings. Scott Campbell went two for four with an RBI.
The second game didn’t go nearly as well as the Lugnuts lost 5-2. Chris Reddout gave up three runs in three innings and he dropped to 2-1 on the season. Raul Barron tripled, drove in a run and scored.
Lansing scored seven runs in the bottom of the fifth to take a 7-2 lead only to see their relief pitchers give up four runs in the next two innings to make it 7-6. That’s all the Cougars would get though as Lansing held on for the 7-6 win. Yuber Rodriguez had a nice game with two hits, two RBIs and a run. Scott Campbell went one for three with a double, two walks, two RBIs and a run.
Chris Reddout picked up the win relief. He gave up one run in 2 1/3 innings.
